TIMOTHY R. SURGENOR - President, Chief Executive Officer and Director. Mr. Surgenor joined Cyberkinetics in 2003 from Haemonetics Corporation, a medical device company located in Braintree, MA where he was Executive Vice President with responsibility for business development, global marketing, quality assurance and regulatory affairs from 1999- 2003. While at Haemonetics, Mr. Surgenor was an active member of the investor relations team. From 1994 -1999, Mr. Surgenor was President of Genzyme Tissue Repair, the cell therapy division of Genzyme Corporation located in Cambridge, MA. While at Genzyme Tissue Repair, Mr. Surgenor led successful public offerings which raised approximately $100 million. Previously, Mr. Surgenor was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of BioSurface Technology, Inc. and also held various positions in operations at Integrated Genetics. Mr. Surgenor received a B.A. in Biochemistry from Williams College in 1981 and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1987.

JOHN P. DONOGHUE, Ph.D. - Founder, Chief Scientific Officer and Director. Dr. Donoghue co-founded Cyberkinetics in 2001. He is currently the Henry Merritt Wriston Professor at Brown University. Since 1991, Dr. Donoghue has been Chairman of the Department of Neuroscience and since 1998 he has served as Executive Director of the Brain Science Program at Brown University. Dr. Donoghue has performed over 20 years of research on brain computer interfaces and his laboratory is internationally recognized as a leader in this field. His research has been funded by the National Institute of Health ("NIH"), the National Science Foundation ("NSF"), and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency ("DARPA"), as well as private foundations. Dr. Donoghue has over 50 publications, including a number in leading journals such as Nature, Science and the Journal of Neuroscience and he has served on many external advisory panels, including those for the NIH's Neurology and Mental Health institutes and the space medicine panel of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration ("NASA"). Dr. Donoghue received an A.B. from Boston University in 1971, an M.S. in Anatomy from the University of Vermont in 1976 and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Brown University in 1979.

MARK A. CARNEY - Executive Vice President and Director. Mr. Carney is the former Chief Executive Officer and founder of Andara Life Science, Inc., which was acquired by Cyberkinetics in February 2006. Mr. Carney was a founder of Andara and he a has a proven record in the healthcare services industry for maximizing market position and shareholder value. Prior to his role at Andara, from 2002 to 2004, he served as Senior Vice President at Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., following the acquisition of Outsourced Administrative Services, where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2000 until 2002. At the time of the acquisition of Outsourced Administrative Services, Outsourced Administrative Services Mr. Carney had managed an 83% increase in the company�s revenues to a total of $22 million. Mr. Carney was Senior Vice President at the Centris Group, Inc. following the acquisition of The Interra Group of Companies, where he was President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. At the time of the acquisition by Centris, Mr. Carney had achieved revenues of $100 million for the Company. At Purdue University, Mr. Carney earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1981 and completed requirements for his Master of Science Degree in Community Health in 1983.

J. CHRISTOPHER FLAHERTY - Executive Vice President, Technology and Intellectual Property. Prior to joining Cyberkinetics in 2003, Mr. Flaherty was founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of Insulet Corporation located in Beverly, MA from 2000-2002. At Insulet, he oversaw the development of the first fully disposable programmable infusion pump for subcutaneous delivery of insulin for diabetic patients. From 1996 - 2003, Mr. Flaherty co-founded and was Executive Vice President of TransVascular, Inc., located in Menlo Park, CA (and recently acquired by Medtronic), where he led the development of numerous interventional products including an ultrasonically guided drug delivery catheter and a system of interventional products used by a cardiologist to perform the first ever completely percutaneous coronary bypass procedure. Mr. Flaherty has also held positions at Pfizer and Strato Medical. Mr. Flaherty earned a B.S. in Aeronautical and Electrical Engineering from MIT in 1985.

KURT H. KRUGER - Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Cyberkinetics in September 2006, Mr. Kruger was with Banc of America Securities LLC, (formerly Montgomery Securities) and Hambrecht & Quist, where he served as Managing Director and Medical Technology Research Analyst. In that role, he followed a wide range of medical technology companies, including Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Inc., Boston Scientific Corporation and Zimmer, Inc. In addition, Mr. Kruger structured financings that raised more than $3.2 billion for more than two dozen companies, including Ventritex, Inc., Target Therapeutics, Heart Technology, Cytyc Corporation, Cyberonics, Inc., and Kyphon Inc. Kruger also worked with Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc., a subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company that became Guidant Corporation. Mr. Kruger earned his Master of Science degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He also earned his Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition, he also completed course work at Columbia University in the pre-med program and was a Research Associate in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Lab at the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
